Central Christian School

academics

lower school: grades k4-5

In the Lower School, we emphasize a firm academic foundation with strong study habits and personal responsibility. Central Christian School believes parental involvement is a major key to a child’s educational success and welcomes parental input and involvement.

To address students’ academic needs, each student’s standardized test scores from the previous year are evaluated. Teachers disaggregate data to find the child’s weakest areas and develop a learning plan specific for that child. The class as a whole is evaluated in the same way, and any gaps or weak areas are addressed with a purposeful plan.

Middle school: grades 6-8

The upper school division is comprised of two sections - the first is grades 6-8. Both sections operate on the same bell system throughout the day and change classes seven times a day.

We prepare them for the upper school curriculum with rigorous courses in the subjects of Bible, math, English, science, history and an array of electives.

We also place a strong emphasis on a student’s spiritual and social life as it relates to God’s calling on their lives.

upper school: grades 9-12

The upper school division is comprised of two sections - the second is grades 9-12. Students in this section receive credits towards graduation.

Central’s college preparatory curriculum is designed to challenge students academically. We firmly believe that strong academics are an essential key to succeed at the post-secondary level of education. We also place a strong emphasis on a student’s spiritual and social life as it relates to God’s calling on their lives.

Qualifying students may also take advanced honors classes and take advantage of our college dual enrollment courses. Our leadership team, faculty, and staff are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential in the world in which we live.
