Assistant Head of School
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Faulkner University and a Master of Education degree in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University. I also have extensive training in technology, with over 260 hours of training in utilizing technology in the classroom and in mathematics instruction. I have received professional development training in Common Core Algebra I, collaborative instruction, diversity, and special education. My teaching experience includes instruction at the public and private school setting as well as an adjunct college professor in mathematics. My goal is for all students to have the opportunity to learn using technology to enhance the learning environment without losing sight of individualized instruction.
On a personal note, my husband, Jason, serves as the Youth Pastor at Palmetto Baptist Church. Together we minister to share our faith and help foster the spiritual growth of young people in our area.
I am honored and humbled to teach, inspire, and motivate your child to be the best that he/she can be in Christ. Scripture tells us in Romans 12:7 that if we have the gift of teaching then to teach. Knowing subject matter is merely just one part of being a teacher. I believe a good teacher is not one who only knows the content, but rather understands that he/she has the opportunity to invest and impact students in a way that challenges them to think. Hopefully, this will encourage them to be more in Christ spiritually and academically than they thought they could ever be. My prayer is that when your child comes into my classroom they feel excited, challenged, respected, and most importantly loved.
