Dear Students and family,
Hello! I am so excited to introduce myself. I am Brandi Dabbs. I have been married for 14 years to Jason Dabbs who works for AT&T. We have 4 children – Judah (14), AbbyJoy (13), Uzziah (9), and Ezekiel (5). Jason was born in Texas, and I was born in Tennessee, but we have been in Newnan for a while! We attend SouthCrest Church as a family.
I have a BS degree in Mathematics and a minor in Earth Sciences from Shorter University in Rome, GA. I have taught middle school math and science at Trinity Christian (years ago before I was married) and high school math at Grace Christian Academy in Knoxville, TN. I have also served as a Journeyman Missionary for the Southern Baptist Convention. I worked with children and youth for two years in the Canary Islands, Spain. I have also worked as a full time foster/house parent. I worked with pregnant teens at GA Baptist Children’s Home before I was married, and my husband and I and children served at Christian City Home for Children with teen girls for 4 years.
My favorite scripture is Lamentations 3:21-25.
21Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: 22Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 24I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” 25The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him.
Every day is a new day and a gift from the Father! I will have this attitude with my students, and I will encourage them to learn to do the same. Mistakes from yesterday do not define our attitude today! For where there is love from Jesus, grace abounds!
