Central Christian School is a college preparatory school. As such, students must meet the following criteria:
Students applying for K4/K5 will meet with a teacher to assess readiness.
1st Grade – 8th Grade
Students applying for 1st grade through 8th grade will be screened with a standardized testing instrument. This assesses language and literary development, number concepts, moto skills, and social development. Students should score at or above the development level. Parents will be notified of the screening results and a meeting will be set up to discuss the test results and the next step in the application process.
9th thru 12th Grades
Students applying for grades 9th thru 12th should submit the results of a nationally – normed standard test taken within the past 12-18 months. Students should score at grade level or at the ’exceeds’ level of the Georgia Milestones. If current testing records are not available, additional testing may be required and a test date will be scheduled.
CCS is a discipleship-style school. As such, there is a requirement that at least one parent in every home to give evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, be activity involved in a local church, and agree with the basic tenants of the CCS Statement of Faith. Students salvation is not required for acceptance, but high school students should have a similar value and belief system
All students must provide evidence of a pattern of behavior and school attendance consistent with the schools overall mission, purpose, and objectives.
1. Submitting Your Application
Application for all grades must be submitted using the Online application.
2. After Your Application Has Been Submitted
After your application has been submitted with all the supplemental forms and payment of the $150.00 application fee has been received, the application will be reviewed by the admissions committee. The review drives the next step of the process, ie, additional testing, parent interview, etc.
Students applying for enrollment to CCS are generally screened with a standardized evaluation instrument. The instrument assesses the language and literacy development, number concepts, motor skills, and social development. A completed application with all supplemental forms and the $150.00 application fee must be received before a testing date and time will be scheduled.
Students applying to CCS should submit the results of a nationally-normed standardized test taken within the last 12-18 months. If current testing records are not available or it is determined that additional information is needed for assessment or placement, a testing date will be scheduled.
A $50.00 testing fee per student is paid at the time of the test.
If the application has been deemed eligible by the admissions committee, and interview will be scheduled with our Head of School. Both parents and all 5th – 12th grade students are required for the interview. Students in Kindergarten 4 thru 4th grade are not expected to attend the interview.
Acceptance of the application is based on review of the application. Test scores, transcripts, pastor/church leader questionnaire, and interview results if applicable. Central Christian School does not discriminate against any person based on sex, race, age, or national origin.
Registration forms will be sent to admitted students immediately after acceptance. A student’s space in a grade level is held for two weeks after admission. The student is not officially enrolled at Central Christian School until the registration forms, financial contract, and registration fee of $200.00 are received.
Other Information Required For Admission
Certificate of Immunization – State law prevents a student from beginning classes unless Form 3231 has been received by the school. It may be obtained from your family physician or from your local health department. Parents are allowed to file a religious objection letter if they choose. CCS is required to keep this letter on file at all times.
Eye, Ears, and Dental Examination Form 3300 – State law requires that this form be on file for each student. The form may be obtained from your family physician or from your local health department.

Multiple Child Discounts: Contact the office for details
Central Christian is pleased to offer our Ministerial Partnership Program to make Christian education affordable for local ministerial staff who have devoted their lives to Christian service. Under this program, churches may donate up to 25% of tuition dollars to CCS and CCS will match the gift up to 25% bringing the total amount of tuition discount up to 50%. Please contact the office if you have any questions.
Past Due Accounts
Monthly tuition payments are due by the 1st of each month and are considered late after the 10th of the month. Payments received after the 10th will be assessed a late fee of $35.00 per month. Financial accounts falling behind more than 45 days must contact the office immediately. Failure to contact the office in a timely manner may result in the student being withdrawn from CCS.
It is assumed that a family is enrolling for the entire year and budgets are set accordingly. If a student is withdrawn before the end of the school year, a 2 week advanced written notice should be given to the office. Because tuition is paid on an eleven month period, families are expected to pay the current month’s tuition plus an additional 1 months tuition. Report cards and/or transcripts are released to the parent or other schools only when the student’s financial account is current. Special Note: Families who have paid the year in advance will pay the current months tuition plus 2 months tuition. (First and last month).
Financial Aid & Assistance
Central Christian School is committed to providing a quality Christian education and instilling godly character in each and every student. We understand the financial committment that a family makes when they choose private or Christian education. Central’s goal is to partner with families who have financial needs. Therefore, a limited amount of financial assistance is available to qualifying applicants.
Financial assistance and aid recommendations are made by FACTS “Grant and Aid Assessment”, an independent company which provides Central with a confidential financial needs report. This report assists the Scholarship Committee in determining the amount of tuition assistance granted. Assistance covers between 10% and 50% of tuition and does not cover any fees. Financial assistance is not available to Pre K students.
Currently, the majority of our financial assistance is provided through our Student Scholarship Organization, GOAL. Through this program, Georgia tax payers can redirect Georgia income tax dollars to eligible Georgia private and Christian schools. The state of Georgia has defined parameters as to who is eligible to receive financial assistance. Limited assistance is also available through the Central Foundation (See the link on the web site).
Central welcomes donations of any amount to our unrestricted scholarship fund. Your financial gifts would be a tax deductible contribution and would make a tremendous impact on a student’s life.
1. The online admissions application and application fee must be submitted prior to admitting an application for financial aid. (Application fees are non-refundable.)
3. The CCS Scholarship Committee will meet to evaluate the financial need and amount of aid to be awarded to all verified applicantions received from FACTS,
4. Letters confirming decisions on financial aid will be mailed to all applicants.
